Oh hi! I’m so glad I bumped into you. Can you please sign me up to bring bread for the potluck on Thursday? Thaaaanks.
Yeah, you’re probably thinking what were they thinking. It’s pretty easy to sign up…sooooooo…but instead you answer,
Hi! Yeah, sure. I’d be happy to. Great, see you Thursday.
Okay, so hopefully, this is the exception rather than the rule. And there are, of course, situations where someone might not be too tech savvy, like for example older senior citizens who would prefer paper-based signups that are then transferred to digital. We see this with some frequency in churches and synagogues.
But fear not! We have implemented a super easy way for you to get others signed up for whatever volunteer position they wish.
Here’s how to sign someone else up:

Let’s pretend you’re signing Jane Doe up
Log in to your account
Click on the Event (whether in the Signup Tool, the Team Tool, or the Gatherings Tool)
Scroll down to the item that Jane Doe wants to be signed up for
You’ll see the option to sign up for “Myself” or if you click on the down arrow, “Someone Else”
Click on Someone Else
Type in Jane Doe’s name and her email address
Go through the normal confirmation process…You’ll see Jane Doe’s signups on the confirmation page
Jane Doe will be sent a confirmation indicating that she has been signed up for that particular item
You will receive a confirmation that you signed Jane Doe up for that particular item
Et voila! Done.
(NOTE: Only organizers can sign someone else up)
